Yvonne’s work has seen her actively engage with Members of Parliament and international policymakers, including lobbying at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Beyond her legal and advocacy work, Yvonne has a wealth of experience in public affairs and international campaigning. She has represented civil society organisations at key global platforms, collaborating with stakeholders from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, diplomats, and leading human rights experts. Her ability to bridge grassroots testimonies with high-level advocacy underscores her commitment to ensuring that justice and truth remain at the heart of Sri Lanka’s post-war narrative.

Yvonne’s dedication to Sri Lanka extends beyond her professional work. She has over 15 years of extensive experience implementing community-based projects delivered across multiple districts in Sri Lanka, working with diverse partners and communities. As a founding trustee of Serendip Children’s Home, Yvonne has played a vital role in supporting post-war communities in the north and east of the island, working on projects that provide education, vocational training, and livelihood support to vulnerable families.
