“Since 2009, little has been done to address the needs and concerns of many on the island who suffered during the war. The Sri Lankan government has remained largely uninterested in accountability, or ethnic reconciliation. Activists within and outside Sri Lanka must come together to demand real change”.

Benjamin was the previous Campaign Director of Sri Lanka Campaign. He holds a BA in History from the University of Exeter, and an MSc in International and Asian History from LSE. He primarily focused on the modern and early modern social history of South and East Asia, and his MSc dissertation discussed the interaction between missionaries and caste in colonial Odisha.
